Meggy the therapy dog
Meet the newest fluffiest member of the Stepping Stone Therapy Team.
I'm so excited to introduce Meggy, my new puppy who is on her journey to becoming a trained therapy dog.
Meggy's Story
As a psychotherapeutic counsellor, I see first hand every day how powerful connection, safety, and a gentle presence can be in a persons therapeutic journey. Meggy is already showing a calm, affectionate nature and an incredible ability to sit with big feelings. She also LOVEs children which is something I know will be invaluable as she continues her training.
Over the next year, Meggy will be learning the skills she needs to support in therapy: offering comfort, helping with emotional regulation, and bringing a sense of warmth and grounding into the counselling space.
This is the beginning of a very special journey, and I can't wait to share updates as Meggy grows into her role.
