Finding Space for Yourself
Therapy That Works for You
Sometimes, you might not know exactly what is wrong, only that something feels different. Perhaps things have changed, you’re feeling overwhelmed, or you’re finding it difficult to make sense of your thoughts and feelings. You may have something specific you want to explore, such as bereavement, a difficult life experience or past trauma. Whatever brings you to counselling, you don’t need to have all the answers before you begin. Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect and explore what is happening for you, at your own pace.
I offer both short-term and longer-term psychotherapeutic counselling, depending on your individual needs and what you would like to explore. Some people come to therapy to work through a particular difficulty or life event, while others find it helpful to have a longer-term space to understand themselves more deeply and explore patterns that may have developed over time. We can work together to find an approach that feels right for you, with opportunities to review how things are going and consider what you need as the work develops.
I offer sessions both in person and online, providing flexibility to find a way of working that fits with your life. My aim is to offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, explore difficult feelings and begin to make sense of your experiences. There is no expectation to know where to start or what to say. We can begin wherever you are, working together to understand what feels important to you and what you might need moving forward.
